Episode 29

Billy: Benson I need to talk to you.

Benson: About what?

Billy: I have a problem.

Benson: Well of course Benson is here to help solve all problems. What is it? Love? Work? Need help marinating a chicken?

Billy: Someone wants to kill me.

Benson: Oh. That's not my field sorry Billy.

Billy: Please Benson!

Benson: Well what is it?

Billy: I'm getting death threats. Someone knew I was a fraud at my job in Boston. The person is sending me notes at home now. I know I haven't returned to work for 2 months and the boss understands that. He really does. Actually I don't think I'm even employed there anymore but someone wants me dead!

Benson: Well what do you want me to do about it?

Billy: The person says on New Years he will be here and kill me!

Benson: Then what's the problem? You will find the person.

Billy: And he will kill me!

Benson: No he won't! It's New Years. Everyone will be here. No one is killing anybody unless they touch the dinner before it's served.

Billy: Promise?

Benson: I promise. I'll even have Saunders watch over you.

<Saunders comes in.>

Saunders: I heard my name?

Benson: Yes. Billy is worried that someone wants him dead. I told him you will watch over him on New Years Eve because that's when the person said he will be here.

Saunders: I'm sorry. I get shot once shame on you. If I get shot twice from guarding you, shame on me. I will not be guarding anyone in this house. I laugh at even the suggestion. Hahahahahaha.

<Saunders leaves laughing and Benson and Billy just stare. The doorbell rings and Corinne, Dutch, Billy, and Jessica look at Benson.>

Benson: What? You want me to get that?

Jessica: If you don't mind.

Benson: Well I don't!

<Benson answers the door and Chief of Police Tinkler is there.>

Benson: Look it's what you get when you cross Sheriff Campbells brains with Detective Donahues posture....Chief of Police Tinkler!

Chief of Police Tinkler: Why thank you Benson. I'm chief of police Tinkler and I'm afraid I have some bad news. Corinne are you here?

Corinne: What is it?

Chief of Police Tinkler: It's your husband. His plane disappeared over Lake Michigan last night. We don't know where it is and we fear that there will be no survivors.

Corinne: He's dead?

Chief of Police Tinkler: I believe so. I'm sorry to break the news.

Jessica: Well we appreciate you coming.

Chief of Police Tinkler: Bye!

<Tinkler leaves and Corinne cries as everyone is comforting her.>

Mrs. David: Oh I'm so glad all three of you can finally get along.

Carol: Well I can't hate Jodie forever for bringing my child to visit me.

Jodie: I never believed in long term hatred anyways.

Mrs. David: Well let me get you all some nice lemonade. I made it fresh!

Maggie: That would be wonderful.

Jodie: Well Carol how's the Kung-Fu fortress doing?

Carol: Was that supposed to be some kind of joke?

Jodie: No I wanted to know how the Kung-Fu was.

Carol: It was just fine. And if you must know, I'm engaged against the man known there as the Human Wrecking Machine.

Jodie: You're marrying one of your relatives?

Carol: Ha ha. He's the man who you faced in the fortress a year ago.

Maggie: Oh yes. Jodie handled himself well there.

Jodie: Yes me and vulcan neck pinching sure did!

Carol: We are truly in love and I have full plans to show Wendy that he's now her new father.

Jodie: Well I think you're visiting time has been plentiful. Wendy time to go.

Carol: I'm taking the baby Jodie.

Jodie: We've gone through this Carol. You're not taking the baby.

<Carol pulls out a gun.>

Jodie: Very good. Great mothering. Pulling a gun out in front of your child. I'm leaving. You wouldn't dare shoot me with your baby in front of us. Maggie let's go.

<Maggie pulls out a gun now too.>

Jodie: Good Maggie. Just make sure she doesn't shoot. Cover me while I'm leaving.

<Maggie points the gun right at Jodie.>

Jodie: What are you doing?

Maggie: She said she's keeping the baby.

Jodie: Whose side are you on?

Dutch: Wow Billy was right. Hiring one of you for the evening sure has made me forget about whatever her name was.

Hooker: Shut up and finish your work!

Dutch: Sorry!

<Dutch throws the covers over him and someone comes in through the window. That person is Eunice!>

Eunice: Oh Dutch?

Dutch: Just a second! I'm only human!

Eunice: What are you talking about?

Dutch: Eunice?

Eunice: I'm back!

<Dutch pops up from under the covers.>

Eunice: What were you doing there?

Dutch: Oh reading.

Eunice: What?

Dutch: Does it matter? What the hell are you doing here?

Eunice: I've returned. The men I've slept with, the money they make, and their muscular builds are nothing compared to what I have here.

Dutch: Well maybe I don't want you back?

Eunice: Of course you do Dutch. Now let me get rid of that book of yours.

<Eunice grabs the book from under the covers but the hooker comes up from there instead.>

Eunice: Hey!!! HEY!!! Aren't you?....

Gwen: Yes I'm Gwen. Danny's ex-girlfriend. And I still have twenty minutes with your husband so if you don't mind I'd like to finish this!

<Eunice looks at Dutch dissatisfied.>

Jessica: Corinne it's going to be okay.

Corinne: How can it?

Jessica: Because you can survive without him.

Corinne: I know.

Jessica: It was a lovely funeral this afternoon.

Corinne: It was.

Jessica: Why don't you go to bed and relax.

Corinne: I can't sleep knowing that he will never sleep next to me again.

Jessica: I know the feeling. But I think the best thing for you is sleep. I'll take you to a psychiatrist tomorrow and you can talk with him about this. I think you need someone other than family to talk to.

Corinne: You're right. I'm going upstairs ma. I need to lie down now that you've shown me it's the best thing.

Jessica: Of course.

<Corinne goes upstairs and the doorbell rings. Jessica answers it and it's Mary.>

Jessica: Mary!! How are you?

Mary: Good Jessica.

Jessica: I haven't seen you since Christmas.

Mary: It's been a long time.

Jessica: Yes almost 3 days. Let me get you something to drink.

Mary: Thank you.

<Jessica walks out and Mary takes out a gun.>

Mary: Kill Jessica Tate. Kill Jessica Tate. Kill Jessica Tate.

<The camera zooms in on her ear where there's a chip controlling her mind from the institute she's recovering at.>
