Episode 31

<Mary has a gun in her hand and Jessica comes in the living room with two glasses of water.>

Jessica: Oh Mary. Is that a gun?

Mary: Yes Jessica.

Jessica: Oh you must get that at the clinic for protection when you go out.

Mary: Yes Jessica.

Jessica: How have you been feeling?

Mary: Good.

Jessica: Have you recovered most of your memory?

Mary: Yes most of it.

Jessica: That's wonderful! Let's go and sit down.

Mary: Let's not.

<Mary points the gun at Jessica's face.>

Jessica: Mary you are pointing that at my face.

Mary: I know.

Jessica: Please I don't think you realize what you are doing?

Mary: I do.

Jessica: Then what are you doing?

Mary: Killing Jessica Tate

Jessica: I see.....

Jodie: Why are you doing this Maggie?

Maggie: Because you left me when you recovered your memory. I waited for you. I was willing to leave my job. You couldn't deal with having a wife.

Jodie: That's not it.

Carol: And me. You would have been a husband for the wrong reason. That's why I hired Maggie to bring me back my child.

Jodie: But I brought you here?

Maggie: It was obvious you would bring me with our history going back to finding Wendy.

Jodie: Maggie this is the most horrible thing any woman can do. This is my daughter and I can't believe you want to take her away from me!

Maggie: Now it's an eye for an eye Jodie. Now hand over Wendy.

Jodie: No!

Carol: Jodie stop being impossible! I don't want to hurt you or my child so hand her over.

Maggie: Do what she says. We do have the two guns.

<Six police officers storm into the house.>

Policeman: FREEZE!!!! PUT THE WEAPONS DOWN NOW!

Carol: But....how did you know?

<They both put the weapons down and Mrs. David comes in.>

Mrs. David: I called them.

Jodie: You did?

Mrs. David: That's right. I saved my first bisexual. I gotta tell you Jodie. It's hard not calling you a homo since you're my first homo but now you're my first bisexual so it's strange calling you a bisexual.

Jodie: That's just fine Mrs. David. You saved my life.

Mrs. David: It's never a problem Jodie.

Policeman: I want you two women to put your hands up and over your head and walk out.

<Carol and Maggie do so.>

Jodie: How did you know they would do that?

Mrs. David: Well when you fell asleep last night Maggie went to the bathroom. I overheard her on her portable phone talking to someone about Wendy and how the plan was working. I figured out it had to be Carol she was talking to.

Jodie: Thanks Mrs. David. How can I ever repay you?

Mrs. David: You don't have to do anything.

Jodie: I'm serious. Anything you want?

Mrs. David: Let me live with you in Conneticut.

Jodie: Oh well I promised any favor didn't I?

Mrs. David: I betcha did. Let me run upstairs and pack a few bags.

Jodie: Why do you want to leave Texas?

Mrs. David: I have nothing to do around here plus they say if you get out of Texas for a while you lose your accent and I really wonder what I would sound like with a New England accent.

Jodie: Well get on packing Mrs. David.

<Mrs. David runs upstairs and packs her bags.>

Jodie: I'm sure everyone will be quite surprised to see you.....

Tom Martin: Where's your proof she's your daughter?

Julie: Tom, I read the files, they are telling the truth. Apparently our children must have been switched at birth.

Tom: Well where is our child?

Tina: We put her up for adoption seven years ago. We both knew that we were unfit to be parents then so we gave her up. Now we are more suitable parents.

Alice: Well Julie it has been a great nine years here but now I must got with my real family.

<Alice hugs Tom and Julie. She hugs Michael and Robert. Alice leaves.>

Julie: Are we just going to let her go?

Tom: I don't think there is anything we can do this time.

Robert: I have dibs on her room!

Dutch: You can't tell Gwen what she can and cannot do. If you want to know exactly what we are doing then read this.

<Dutch gives Eunice a pamphlet on the prostitution.>

Dutch: I bought plan B.

Gwen: So if you don't mind can you please wait outside?

Eunice: You little tramp. You go from the Campbell's to my husband!

Gwen: For your information, the situation with me and Danny is personal and I won't discuss it and when it comes to Dutch, let's just say he's one customer I'm stealing from you. Apparently you have your own side business with some of my men.

Eunice: That was a one time thing when Dutch wouldn't roleplay with me.

Gwen: I don't need my men to roleplay to get the job done.

Eunice: No, people like you don't need anything except for a sign reading "In and Out".

<Gwen gets up and grabs Eunice and they start choking each other on the bed. Dutch is smiling.>

Billy: Well the New Year passed and no one went after me. I'm thinking this was all a game from someone in the family. Maybe Danny. Yes, Danny likes playing practical jokes. I should call him and tell him I figured him out.

<Billy takes the cell phone and calls the Campbell's. Elaine picks up.>

Billy: Hi Elaine is Danny there?

Elaine: Danny is never here and I don't wish to ever see him again.

Billy: Is everything okay Elaine?

Elaine: Yes....I mean no. Who am I kidding? My whole life is falling apart due to my failing marriage with Danny. There's no one home to talk to except for Chuck and Bob and I don't want to tell them about my life.

Billy: How about I come there Elaine?

Elaine: You would do that for me?

Billy: Of course.

<Billy goes to his car and drives off.>

Chester: This isn't fair. I made the money and now if Jessica divorces me, I'll have nothing left due to alimony. It's not my fault that these women fall for me anyways....

<Chester pushes the play button on his answering machine.>

Denise: Hey Chet. It's Denise. Are we still on at 3? Call me back?

Rachel: Hey Chester. It's me Rachel, are we still on for 3:30? Give me a ring.

<Chester thinks in his head for a minute.>

Chester: That will only give me 15 minutes from Denise's house to Rachel's. I guess that can work. I just wish Jessica would understand that I can't help myself. I think that she will take me back. She has to. It's in the contract.....hey that's it! The contract!

<Chester takes a box out of a closet and starts going through files.>

Chester: That's it! Jessica can't leave me! It's stated in our contract. I'll be coming home tomorrow. Thank god. I can finally get rid of this dump. Actually I could keep it as my singles pad. Actually that probably would be a bad idea. On the other hand....how would Jessica be able to figure that out!

Billy: Wow. I don't think I've been here for years. You guys always come to my house for dinner.

Elaine: It's probably because (sniffle) your house is bigger.

Billy: Yea I guess. What's wrong Elaine?

Elaine: Turn on the television.

Billy: That's Danny! Damn, I guess this wasn't his trick.

Elaine: What trick?

Billy: Oh nothing. He's on television. What's the problem?

Elaine: He's not with me. He cares more for his saxophone than he cares for me.

Billy: That's not true!

Elaine: At night once he put the saxophone next to him in bed. There wasn't room for me. I had to sleep on the couch!

Billy: That's just Danny being silly.

Elaine: He doesn't love me and I think I don't love him. I have an interest in another guy anyways.

Billy: Well how is that going?

Elaine: He's away for the week so I'll see when he comes home. What should I do with Danny?

Billy: Before you work anything out with another guy, talk over with Danny. Give him a chance to explain himself.

Elaine: You think so?

Billy: Definitely.

Elaine: Thanks Billy.

Billy: Anytime.

<Billy hugs Elaine and then they both look at each other. They then kiss. Billy backs away from Elaine.>

Billy: I...have....to go now!

Elaine: Yes....I understand. Please go.

Billy: Ummm....bye.

<Billy walks outside confused. He goes to his car when someone grabs him.>

Billy: Hey who are you?

Man: Don't make a sound.

Billy: Just tell me who you are!

Man: Your father......and the man who has been sending you all those threatening notes.
