An Introduction to SOAP: The Alternate Reality |
My name is Adam and before I hear anyone tell me I'm copying someone else's fan-fiction idea I want you all to know this has been something I started writing years ago. SOAP is my favorite episode ever. It's so smart and funny. I hated how the show ended and yes there were a few things I hated that happened in the show too. One of those things was Elaine dying. I just felt there was no reason for that at all. I decided to re-write SOAP's history. I did that. I did a pretty crappy 15 episode summary of the show. I had Elaine "run off" with no explanation, and I had Jessica stay with Chester and never be in front of the firing squad. Saunders got fired for not satisfying Chester and Jodie turned back into a normal human being. Of course that means Annie was never introduced either and a few other important characters. Some things that never happened was Jessica's deadly disease or Burts for that matter. I hated the 15 episodes I wrote as I said before they were crappy. But one thing it did allow me to do is write new episodes based on those 15 leading SOAP into a new future.
So here is SOAP: The Alternate Reality. It follows the show, but it has my own changes. You will see what happened in the first two episodes. And some important characters don't make it back in the series until around episode four or five. I don't think we even see Eunice, Dutch or Corinne for a while. By the way, Corinne didn't leave home in the series. It's going to be a lot of fun writing these and I hope you enjoy them. You will be introduced to new characters that will change the show completely. You will see new sides of everyone too. One thing that must be warned is, some of the time the show isn't funny, it just develops plot. Sometimes it's more of a drama that's intriguing enough to have you want to know whats going on. As I've said it's called SOAP, but how can't you not laugh when picturing all your favorite people in these situations.
